Nominate African Americans who are outstanding leaders and influencers to be one of Mississippi’s Most Influential African Americans.
Do you know of an African American in Mississippi who is a leader in a public company, large private company, or a non-profit institution? Know of and African American who’s an entrepreneur, educator or health professional and leading the cause for change and progression in their community? Then nominate him or her to be one of Mississippi’s 20 Most Influential African Americans. These deserving and outstanding individuals will be recognized and celebrated at the 11th annual Our Mississippi Honors Gala in Jackson, Mississippi.
Nominees will be evaluated on their influence in their industries, as well as in their communities by an independent panel of business and community leaders.
Sometimes unrecognized, African Americans have long been an instrumental part of the growth and well-being of this state. We want to do our part in recognizing the achievements of these individuals.
To qualify for this honor, individuals must be based in Mississippi. Categories individuals can be nominated are:
Business
Education
Health
Servant Leadership
Entrepreneurs
Religious/Spiritual Professions
