Caterpillar has named Michelle Kerr as Human Resources Manager for its Mississippi operations located in Corinth. Kerr has been with the company for 21 years and comes to the Corinth facility from her most recent stop in Little Rock, Arkansas.

“I have been blessed to work in multiple locations (with Caterpillar),” Kerr said. “I’m looking forward to the people of Mississippi. I’m also really excited to get involved in the communities as well as getting back closer to the engine business and learning about all remanufacturing operations.”

Kerr said she is still getting acclimated to the Corinth facility after relocating this summer.

“From a business perspective, everything has been wonderful,” she said. “Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. I’m excited to get in and be able to work with each of them every day. It is definitely a group that drives you to want to excel and really make a difference.”

Kerr added she’s looking forward to the many job responsibilities she has as HR Manager, knowing it will be a challenge.

“I am focused on enabling the people processes for all of Caterpillar’s remanufacturing business, as well as continuing the focused efforts on our culture to help improve the business while positively impacting our people that make it happen day in and day out.”

Kerr also says it makes her job easier working for a company that encourages diversity in its facility.
